angie over at the happy homemaker had a lampshade tutorial. she has quite the collection of cool lampshades. well she inspired me to get rid of the old rubbery dusty ones i had and get those self adhesive kind. i went to joann fabric today for supplies and after a couple of hours i was finished! i'm quite happy with the results and even have enough fabric to recover my dining room chairs. i guess that's my next project. here's the "new" and old lampshades.

Those shades look awesome! I have seen that fabric at Joanns and thought it was so pretty. The pompom trim looks so cute. You did a great job!!!
I love it wonderfuly fun and funky.... !!! I just recently redid an old shadow box, but I think you have inspired me to do my lamps shades!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to go to the fabric store again!
